Intro To Therapy Dog Principles
Saturday, May 4th, 11 AM–2 PM – This is Step 1 in a 4 Step certification process. In this class, you will learn best practices for safety and handling as well as the policies, procedures, and protocols required by Project Canine. You and your dog will also be evaluated to determine if you are ready to be a therapy dog team. This class is for you and your dog!

Dog Mini-Photoshoot
Saturday, May 11th, 9 AM – 6 PM – Get ready to capture some paw-sitively adorable moments with your furry best friend at Coopers Optique. A fun-filled day of wagging tails and cute poses. A professional photographer will be on-site to snap the perfect shots of your pup(s). Whether you have a playful pup or a seasoned senior, they promise to capture their unique personality in every photo.

Paint Your Pet Detective
Saturday, May 18th, 3 PM – 6 PM – Join other animal lovers and your pet with black glue and watercolors in a True Crime setting! Complementary beverages and snacks and great company!

Petpalooza 2024
Saturday, May 18th, 10 AM – 5 PM – An event for pet lovers and a special day for your four-legged family member or other furry friend. The event kicks off with the 9:30am Dog Trot Run Run. The event, free to attendees, also includes live entertainment, the All-Alaskan Racing Pigs, Frisbee dog activities, Mud Bay’s Northwest Pet Contest, inflatable rides and other children’s activities, pet adoptions, a variety of vendors, a Food Court and Beer Garden, and lots of activities to keep both humans and pets entertained.

Tuxes And Tails
Saturday, May 18th, 5:30 PM – “Each year, the Tuxes & Tails Gala brings together our amazing community of animal advocates and pet parents in support of the cats, dogs and critters at the shelter and in the community. This spectacular evening features a fur-tastic auction and beloved pet runway show, with an opportunity for guests to interact with pets throughout the evening.”

DOGS AND DOUGHNUTS DASH
Saturday, May 25th, 8 AM – 10 AM – Race a 5k through the beautiful campus of the University of Washington in support of United In Stride, an organization dedicated to supporting the blind and visually impaired community in realizing their fitness goals.

Trivia Night at The Dog Yard Bar
Thursday, May 30th, 6:30 PM – 8PM – The Dog Yard Bar hosts Trivia Night every Thursday featuring five rounds of questions. The trivia session will last 60-90 minutes.
