Making Sure Exceptional Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services for Your Pet Friends (1)

Want to know the secrets to ensuring your pet has a seamless experience with Fetch? We’re here to spill the kibble! As we gear up for a year filled with exciting adventures and visits from our furtastic team, here are a few tips to ensure everything goes smoothly and your pets have a tail-waggin’ good time!

1. Update Your Pet’s Profile:

Hop into your Fetch! profile and check that everything is up to date. Adding in little details like where the leash is kept (litterbox for cats), where the treats are stashed, and any favorite toys your pet can’t resist can be very helpful! This ensures our team can provide personalized care that your furry friends will love!

2. Special Instructions:

Does your pet have any unique preferences or special needs? Let us know! Your notes help make our visits as unique as your furry pals.

3. Home Access:

Our lockbox policy means your Walking Team or Care Team can attend to your fur baby, no matter the circumstance! If your lockbox is hidden in a not-so-easy-to-find area, please send the main office a photo of the location and mention the details in the “home access” section of your profile. That way, our team can spend less time sniffin’ around and more time makin’ tails wag and motors purr!

4. Safe Travels:

Is your dog (or cat) headed out on one of our exclusive Private Trail Hikes, Doggy Discovery Days, or using our Pet Taxi Service? Be sure to have a safety restraint or seatbelt available so they can be chauffeured around safely!

5. Need To Connect With Your Care Team Providers?

Our Client Portal allows you to reach out to your Care or Walking Team Members with ease! You can also respond directly to the journal entries you receive after each service to interact with your team, check in, provide additional information, or ask any questions!

For Dogs
Dog Walking Adventure at Gasworks Park in Seattle

For Dogs:

1. Leashes & Harnesses

Every client has a unique set of walking tools they use to walk their doggos safely. Our team is experienced with using a wide range of harnesses and leads! In your client profile, you can let us know where to find them and also share details about your dog’s walking habits or anything we should be on the lookout for – i.e., triggers, general walking routes, etc. Due to safety reasons, we do not allow our dog walkers to use retractable leashes. Please ensure you have an alternative option for your walkers to use during the service!

2. Stock Up on Poop Bags

Clients are responsible for providing supplies for each service. Help our team keep your neighborhood clean by making sure you’re stocked up on poop bags. Clean sidewalks make for happy pups (and neighbors!). Let us know where we can find any extras, just in case!

3. Got Treats?

Our Dog Walkers are only allowed to give pet-parent-approved treats in case of any unknown allergies and to ensure we are sticking to their dietary needs. Please have these out and ready for your Walking Team or detail where we can find them in your Client Profile.

4. Feeding Required?

Does your pet require feeding during the service? We’ve got your tail covered! You can add notes to the visits on your schedule or leave instructions in the “feeding” section of your client profile for your dog walkers to refer to!

5. Rainy Days

As we know, rainy days happen frequently in Seattle! If you have raincoats you would like your pups to wear during their dog-walking adventures, let us know where we can find them by adding a note to your client profile! In addition, towels or disposable wipes to clean off your pup are helpful to ensure they don’t track in mud or any “souvenirs” from exploring the outdoors.

For Cats

For Cats:

1. Stock Up on Food & Litter

Help your Care Team (and kitty!) by leaving extra food and litter while you’re away. If your trip is extended or your flight is delayed, having extra supplies around will come in handy!

2. Toys, Playtime, and Brushing

Does your kitty like to play? Do they have any toys that really get their motors purrin’? Let us know where we can find them in your profile so we can fill their visit with as much playtime and enrichment as possible! If you would like us to brush your cat while you’re away, just let us know! We’d be more than happy to pamper your kitty.

3. Personality & Hiding Places

We understand that some cats prefer their alone time, and it’s important that we respect their boundaries. If your feline tends to hide or shy away from new people, let us know in their “Pet Profile” so we can give them space. It’s also important to detail their favorite hiding places so we know exactly where to look to ensure we get eyes on them while they’re in our care.

Ready, set, Fetch! You’re officially prepped for success. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your pet receives the best possible care. If you have any questions or are interested in signing up for Pet Care Experiences or Dog Walking Adventures, our Client Experience Team is one phone call (or email) away.
